2nd Day in Switz, Luzern

On the way up Mt. Pilatus on the cable car, damn the weather man.

Halfway up Mt. Pilatus

Me on *Misty Mountain*, lol.

The cafe on Mt. Pilatus, you can see how misty it is... (Gloin's Camp, LOL, ok... only zic, zx, j wong, sean will understand).

Mt. Pilatus on the way down on the cogwheel

The cogwheel that took us down the mountain

J + W in the flight Sim.

Me, J and W on Lake Luzern

The clearness of Lake Luzern, notice the bed of the lake and the contrast of the water colours, nice.

The overly cheesy pasta, too much also, fulfilling... not satisfying.

Tequila sunset, if I never remember wrongly.

The claustrophobic W in the hotel lift, lol

J enjoying her *crust only* croissant breakfast

This morning I woke up, seriously thought they say wake up at 8am but it was to meet at 8, lol, zzz, made me the latest. I had the best breakfast since 2 weeks in Germany man. American style breakfast buffet. Though it wasn't a feast but it was more than sufficient. I went for 3 rounds also, haha. After that we went up to Mount Pilatus. The scenery was magnificent, very beautiful, well... on the way up and down only. The peak was damn misty, really can't see shit. It was kinda like a wasted trip. It would be very much better if it was sunnier and there wasn't that much clouds. We took a cable car up and then a cogwheel down followed by a ferry ride. After that was the transport museum (Verkehrshaus der Schweiz). Somehow we went in without paying. Well... you are supposed to pay and get this green sticker on you showing that you ACTUALLY paid for it. LOL. We didn't have it while looking at everyone else with that sticker on them. Ok, hush hush, *we don't know anything*, haha. W + J tried the 3D- motion flight simulator in there, screamed their lungs out. Lol. They are the only pair inside whose screams can be heard from outside... sigh... kids.... haha. Alright, dinner was well... wasn't as good as I expected, firstly it was kinda too cheesy then it was too big a portion, should have just ordered the small size. Oh well... guess I felt real hungry at that point of time. We didn't have lunch k. Later in the night, well... had to satisfy W's cravings for cocktails, lol, don't know about J (might just be hiding her cravings =P), went down to the bar and I orders a tequila sunset for them. Nicely done I must say, better than the cocktails at the Grabenfest. However somehow they were kinda going for the juice mixes instead of the alcohol but they wanted the kick.... din want the alcohol taste but wanted the kick... oh well... hou nan fok xi(canto), LOL.

26 May, First day to Switz

A very nice view from one of the bridges on the river of Luzern

Me and W

Drawings in the famous old bridge in Luzern.

Me and J on the old bridge.

Cheese Fondue, it did taste a little weird though, cheese and wine in it = bitter cheese, can't take it, haha, but at LEAST i tried, lol.

Enjoying a very nice smoked trout, at an al fresco restaurant.

All was well to Frankfurt airport until I saw the gigantic huge long queue at the airport. We reached there at 7 and the flight was at 830, we thought we had enough time considering it was a like a domestic inter-europe flight but we were wrong. We spent 10 mins to find where we were to queue and the rest of the time queuing up. The thing was, we were nowhere near the check-in counters even at 740. W + J went to try the quick check-in machines (which looks like atm machines) while I was in the queue. At 750, 30 mins before flight check-in time closes, W + J got themselves checked in and I was stranded. Well, I sorta got that certain shitty feeling of missing a flight, but oh well... After some frantic asking around, I got to change my tix while W + J made a mad rush for the gate. I must say the route there wasn't short after trying it for myself during the walk for my next flight. That took me an hour walking through EVERYTHING WITHOUT STOP, including dropping my baggage off provided that I used the quick check-in machines. I don't know if i'm lucky but I made it to the aircraft (bus shuttle) like just before the flight take-off time. Well, on the plane I made a new friend though. Her name is Julia, an english teacher in the late 30s from England teaching in Germany, Karlsruhe. She made a made rush for the gate as well, lol, what lousy system in Frankfurt airport I must say. She intro-ed me to study in Karlsruhe and well... helped me take a few photos out of the plane just before landing. Ok, now here's the best part, I landed and waited for my luggage which didn't come. OH Great. Now I have to make a report for a missing luggage, what a JOKE. There's always a first time for EVERYTHING. LOL. The whole day I was making calls with my debit card to check the status of my baggage. Survived the day without my clothes and stuff... oh well.. no comments about that. Made me get another T-shirt, well.. not a bad one, I'm quite happy with that buy. I was actually prepared for a gone baggage but it actually came back, on the night of the second day in Switz.

On the first day in Switz, we were actually spending our time walking around in Zurich for awhile while waiting for our hotel check-in time and after going to Luzern to drop our stuff, we walked the old streets in Luzern. Its really a nice place, very quiet in the old streets, no cars are allowed inside as well. The whole of the day we were just walking around and taking pictures. In the night we were walking along the banks of Lake Luzern, its quiet as well... I would say its very romantic sitting along the benches by the river bank.

2nd Week in Germany (Mathildenhohe, Frankfurt city, Grabenfest)

Film studio wif some of the sch's film team

One of the many artistic buildings in the Kunstkolonie

Mathildenhohe grp pic

Outside the opera house in Frankfurt

Nice View of Frankfurt

Top of frankfurt building with J and B

The meat kebab

The finished meat kebab

I must say its a real boring week in Germany compared to the 4 weeks we had there. We all had this filming project that I was kinda sianz of... i'm don't really fancy projects ya noe. I always thought the project themes of each group wasn't really wad we wanted. Coz we were told to brainstorm ideas, and each group sort of like 'picked' a topic first to brainstorm thinking that it was juz another *brainstorming session*. Who knows... that idea each grp picked became their theme! I must admit some of them were real hard stuff to film. Especially for the group on cooking whereby none of them in the grp really knew how to cook in the first place! LOL. What a joke siah. Somehow W became the joke of GY ever since that day. Another grp was kinda ambitious at first, thinking of an animated talking bread, lol, it was A's grp, they are real creative i must say. As usual, mine grp's proj is DA simplest, which I like it also =P. We finished it the fastest amongst all the grp. We even had time to look for a chinese song to insert into it as a backgrd music and adding subs and stuff. Other than the project, we also visited the Mathildenhohe and Frankfurt city (am Main). The Mathildenhohe wasn't very interesting I must say, its full of artistic buildings which I don't really know how to appreaciate. Maybe zic n zx should go there instead, helps in their archi stuff ya know. Well, at least there was an interesting incident which kept us entertained throughout the day. B and her little crush on the tutor, lol. Ok, Frankfurt city was...another photo taking session. We went up to the tallest building in the city and had quite a breathtaking view up there. Very unfortunately our cameras weren't able to capture it. Walk in the city, pictures of churches and stuff... Oh and after Frankfurt city tour (by the tutors), we went back to Darmstadt for the Grabenfest. Its a music festival like a pasar malam in Sg with many different stages set up ard the area for different type of musics. Its quite cool. There's dis meat kebab we bought there n it rawkz, lol. And for the first time, i think, it was like W + J first time trying cocktails and they love it, haha. Its really a nice festival juz that we couldn't stay late, the cabs there are expensive and no S-Bahns (Street trams) late at nite. That sucked.

*Extra stuff* (uhm Christians might not wanna read this, its juz a discussion really)

While we were waiting for a train back to Darmstadt from Frankfurt, coz there was a news about bomb on the trains so we had to wait for the police to finish investigating. Me and Arnold had a small discussion on religion with several other christians (well... no offence really, it was more of juz me and arnold coz we din really wanted to offend them as we were free thinkers). Arnold mentioned a very good point which i haven really thought of: Gals are easily conned into the church thats why so many gals are in church. LOL. Then more guys will wan to get into church juz coz of the gals! Then as more gals r conned into it, more guys will join church. Hence the huge number of christians. HAHA. A very wonderful chain effect!

2nd Wkend in Germany (cont - Sonntag)

Da world's biggest beer keg!

A nice view over to Heidelberg Castle from Philosopher's Way

One of the great middle ages street at the foothill of Heidelberg castle, me with HM and XQ. Sometimes you just have to be there personally to feel it, trust me, pictures are hard to tell.

The fantastic Cabonara Pasta, don't be deceived by the plain looks of it k, it rawkz

The breathtaking view from up the castle, notice the different types of buildings in the far end. The contrast of modern architecture vs old.

Yay!, me in armour. Ok, lets go cheong dungeon now n slay da dragon, lol

How cool is this, try reading that =P!

Ok, on Sunday we all went to Heidelberg except for J and B coz their host are gonna bring them there some other weekend and the host is like knowledgeable n stuff so they wanted more of a history session i suppose. Lucky for me i took Arnold's host's car to Heidelberg, don't have to take the chui train over there. I must say his host is a real funny guy. Taught him how to sing a german song... well.. was very enthusiastic to teach us all German. Sometimes I think he himself is a joke lo. LOL. First thing we did at Heidelberg was going to the Philosopher's way. Its a long winding path up a hill. I had no idea how far we walked but it was damn steep and we didn't finish it also. Damn shag siah. Can't believe its another day of walking on top of Sat. We didn't really have time to finish it also, if not we'll miss the train timings back. So we asked ard n got the way down and across to Heidelberg Castle. Anyway the scenery up along the path on Philosopher's way was not bad, until we got up to the castle itself - it was even better! Oh well, anyway before we made our way up the castle, I had an unforgettable Cabonara pasta made by this restaurant on the foothill of it. Damn good, never regretted paying 8 euro for it. The sauce was like juz nice, not too cheesy n stuff. Real good stuff I must say, haven't really got to try one like that in sg yet. So... on to the castle... another steep path up... -.-, a bloody hot day as well - 33deg if I nv remember wrongly. Once again, another great architectural site, beautiful carvings by artisans. Not to mention the wonderful view on top of it - the whole of Heidelberg city and the river. Of the whole grp that went there, there were 2 separate grps, one there juz for the pics and another pics and some history lesson. I belonged to the one with the history lesson, so I joined the guided tour into the castle. Though nothing much inside interests me, at least I feel that i've learnt something, not a wasted trip. Purely taking photos... doesn't really appeal to me that much; its like since i'm already there, might as well go for the tour and learn something rite. Oh well... anyway, the only thing that got my attention in the castle was the extreme coolness of the interior areas despite the temperature outside. As far as I know and after asking the tourguide, the coolness is actually natural, no air-conditioning! Luv it, wish my house was like that also. So oh well.. guess the whole Heidelberg trip was just the castle and well... some very nice streets at the foothills of it, sometimes it just makes me feel like i'm back in the middle ages - Cool (always wanted to feel like that ya)!

First Wk in Darmstadt

My Attic Room - Full of Spideys, creepy as well... lol

The Rhein River View halfway up Sankt Gott.

First wk in darmstadt, i arrived with a bunch of people whom i hardly know anyone at all. Somehow in the first wk, i've got this very irritating n painful headache throughout the week, really a spoiler; finished up 5 pills of panadol. Furthermore the first wk was like raining shit. Rain when there's outing... lousy weather during the trip on river Rhein. Cold n rainy is the last thing I want for the start of my holidays. I'm like the onli person in the whole class who didn't have a dictionary or books. Totally in a holiday mood. Not like I PURPOSELY din bring my dict... its really i forgot about it. Luckily there's dictionary in my host house. If not i think i really won't learn any German at all man. Lol. My previous wkend which i spent at my host house was my lousiest wkend ever; cant believe i was watching tv for the whole wkend. What a waste of time. Crappy first wk.
Not to mention my room. Its da attic. Full of spiderwebs n stuff. I've seen 2 wasps already in the first wk of my stay in the toilet. Damn big shit. I was damn scared of that big thing la. Never have I seen a wasp in such close up. Black n yellow strips on the tail n hairy somemore. Shucks. Maybe I shouldn't have let them out of the window in the first place; give me more trouble instead.

2nd wkend in Germany

This is one of the main shopping streets in Frankfurt near Zeil.

The lake Woog - One of the 2 lakes in Darmstadt.

The Famous Hundertwasserhaus - Special for its non-linearity and no 2 windows are the same.

One of the many old streets in Darmstadt.

I must admit this wkend is definitely better than my first. At least i didn't spend time rotting at home and watching german tv which I totally have no idea what they are talking about. On Sat, well... amazingly i went shopping with J, W, WJ, B in frankfurt. I must say it was kinda like my first time doing some actually shopping, walking into everyshop and looking at almost everything. It was damn tiring, i have no idea how the gals actually can take it. LOL. Well, as what they always say, retail therapy is like one of their top self entertainment thingy. Its like me playing games on the computer for 8 hours straight n I don't get tired looking at the computer screen. But I must say the former definitely is healthier than my games; but sometimes it'll be quite hard on the wallet especially when things are sold in Euros and the number value of things stay the same as seen in singapore just that the currency is different. Pain! Nevertheless, W still bought a top for 5 euros; cheaper than most food found in Germany. lol. I guess this was all for Sat. Sun was a walk in Darmstadt, led by W + B's host - Gulustan (i have no idea how to spell her name). Ok, its definitely more shag than the shopping in Frankfurt. After so long of no exercise then the host walk so far n fast somemore, wah, it was damn tiring, haha. Well, at least there r certain nice streets in darmstadt, old buildings(Hundertwasserhaus)and stuff. There was one thing i notice about Gulustan - she's sehr sehr particular about our pronunciation; esp with the name of the lake "Woog". Anyway we ended our day with a kebab again! Before that we went to the very same stall at Luisen Platz for breakfast. I kinda forgot if it was this particular night that J had the messiest kebab meal eva! Who actually eats the kebab horizontally?! With all the 'chap' dripping from both ends of the kebab - messy n chui.

Boring days

Well... its after the exams, somehow I've no idea what I want to do for the rest of my holidays. At least the trip to Germany is taking up a month of my 'do nothing' time. Now I suppose those who have finished their exams are out partying or something but seriously, how long can these partying last? I've been sleeping at 2+ and waking up at 12 every single day ever since my last paper (self-declared) on last wed. This is really a waste of my life. Dota-ing every night is making me real tired of playing it anymore. I've finished the 3 movies I got last week and 3 episodes of Bleach. CNC 3 isn't really that addictive either since I can be here blogging and am not in it.
Well, since I'm so free I might as well think of some issues which may / may not have been bugging myself. Are relationship issues worth my time thinking about them? There's really not much point thinking about them day and night when I don't intend to do anything. There are some people who spend so much time thinking so deep into the certain meanings of a gal's actions or even how they talk to you and stuff. I kinda doubt we'll ever know what gals are trying to do because they are sometimes just too complicated or maybe its just the nature of humans. Everytime we want to do something, there are just so many factors that will affect our decisions. Perhaps those who succeed in a relationship do not actually think that much. Would we call it following our feelings blindly? Or would it be what my friends would say during our game 'just force our way through'? Ignore all external factors, ignore what people think, ignore what friends say ignore what the gal thinks of you and stuff. Seriously, what am I talking about? I'm just too bored...
